“Growing up as a young man in the 60’s and 70’s my teenage years were all about the flares, platform shoes and long, shoulder length hair which was my “crowning glory”. Thick, wavy and very dark brown I spent many hours in front of the mirror with the hairdryer styling it to perfection.
However shortly after marrying my wife, in my mid 30’s, my wavy hair started waving away and soon I was left with almost no hair at the top and thick dark brown sideburns.
I know this is a very common problem for men, however it really affected my confidence and mental health. Reluctantly I shaved it all off resulting in a shiny bald head and even though it was far easier to maintain, I felt extremely conscious of my new looks and thought it aged me considerably too.
Women have always had many options to improve their looks and appearance through makeup, hair extensions, Botox, cosmetic surgery and countless other ways, but for men it was either a wig or hair transplant. Neither of which appealed to me.
It was during lockdown in 2020 that I saw a revolutionary video on social media about hair systems and started researching it in depth. I found a hair system consultant who was local to me and made an appointment to find out more. The process would require me to grow the hair on the sides of my head in order for the system to blend in. This took about six weeks and the use of several baseball caps to hide what I was doing.
My first hair system took just over an hour to affix, blend and style and I could not believe the results. I looked years younger, felt like “me” again and the smile on my wife’s face was priceless.
Having known Scott for years, when he mentioned he was now working with hair systems, I wanted to try him out as his experience as a hairdresser is legendary. Not only is his new hair system top quality, he blended it perfectly and provided a cut and style that really suited me.
With my hair system, I can do all the things other people do, go to the gym, sports, swimming, cycling etc. I can shampoo it in the shower and either blow dry it or let it dry naturally.
I would definitely recommend anyone thinking about this to go have a chat with Scott. This has given me back my confidence and I look and feel great.”
